Please note that the timing for this event will now be 6:30-7:30pm. Please feel free to stay after the event for a “Night Under the Stars: Stargazing with MIT Astrogazers” activity taking place in the Kendall/MIT Open Space from 8-10pm.

An Informal Outdoor Conversation Featuring Pioneering Women in Space Exploration and Sustainable Climate Solutions

Join researchers from the MIT Media Lab for an informal, outdoor conversation at the Cambridge Science Festival! Enjoy videos showcasing Media Lab research on a large outdoor movie screen and hear captivating stories about experimentation, learning, and groundbreaking discoveries. Meet visionary women who are at the forefront of pioneering research in space exploration and sustainable climate solutions, part of the Future Worlds Research Theme. These leaders are driving transformative technologies and strategies to create a better future for all living beings on Earth and beyond.

Registration recommended! You’ll be the first to learn of event details or if the location or date changes due to inclement weather. Please note, seating for this outdoor event is on a first come, first served basis regardless of registration, so feel free to arrive early and bring a blanket or a camping chair to ensure that you have a spot to sit.

  • All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Responsible adults, please keep a close eye on your kids.
