Join local Brazilian powerhouse Receita de Samba as they take you on a soulful journey through the best that Brazilian music has to offer. Featuring Grammy®-winning drummer Mark Walker.
While you listen, enjoy a delicious hot cup of soup from Souper Roll Up Cafe (on us, while supplies last!). To keep things sustainable, we encourage you to bring your own mug or bowl. If you do, you’ll get a special sweet treat!
Presented in partnership with Cambridge-based New England Jazz Collaborative.

Receita de Samba, taken from Jacob do Bandolim's choro of the same name, means "recipe for samba" in Portuguese, an apt name for a group that showcases the many flavors of Brazilian music in their purest form.
The chefs de cuisine are husband and wife duo Anna Borges (voice) and Bill Ward (piano and guitar), who draw from Boston's vibrant Brazilian music scene to cook up only the finest bossa nova and samba, as well as regional specialties such as forró, ijexá and coco.
