Acclaimed drummer-vocalist Lumanyano Mzi returns to the Midday Music series with his unique brand of South African-infused jazz.
While you listen, enjoy a delicious hot cup of soup from Souper Roll Up Cafe (on us, while supplies last!). To keep things sustainable, we encourage you to bring your own mug or bowl. If you do, you’ll get a special sweet treat!
Presented in partnership with Cambridge-based New England Jazz Collaborative.

Originally from Cape Town but now splitting time between Boston and New York City, Lumanyano is joined on this date by rising star bassist Ciara Moser and guitarist Amaury Cabral Jorge.
Lumanyano's musical journey began at six years old playing drums in his father's reggae band. With a wide range of musical experiences now under his belt, including performances with an impressive list of local and international artists, Lumanyano has become a passionate and collaborative force, always eager to explore new sounds and connect with fellow artists.
